Happy New Year PD Community!
A little late out of the gate, but how does that saying go "it is never to late to…." well really to anything!
After a world wind holiday season, I am finally getting some breathing room. With less than three weeks between our return from Nicaragua and Christmas Eve, the PurpleDirt team had 20 days of wonderful chaos which included a successful wrap up of
our Indiegogo Campaign – thank you to everyone who supported and showed their love, a Bubblicious Trunk Sale where patrons were able to check out our newest pieces while sipping prosecco and nibbling on yummy treats where we sold out of some of our top designs! But don't worry-- new stock will be arriving soon!
As I reflected on all that I accomplished in 2013 and thought about all that I want to accomplish in 2014, it became apparent that my best memories were developed through the "how" not the "what". This year, I have decided to take a slightly different approach in my New Year Resolutions and develop a list of
principles that I want to live my life by – making it not about the destination but the journey to get there. As our joys, excitements, adventures, loves and growths come from the people we meet, the paths we choose and the lessons we learn along the way. And what better way to stick to my commitments then to post them online for all to see.
So here goes:
- Let go out what I can't control
- Be productive yet calm
- Think less, live more
- Know that all my imperfections make me perfect!
- Be curious not judgmental
- Don't wait for other people to be loving, caring, giving, compassionate, forgiving or generous
- lead the way!
- Collect experiences not things
- Find the time to stop and thank people who make a difference in my life
- Take more chances
- Live with an heart open - don't be afraid to tell love ones how I feel and tell them often!
Bonus: Be grateful
What do think? Do you believe in New Years Resolutions? And if so, what were some of yours?
Cheers to a year full of health, love, happiness, adventure, success and surprises.
Lets make 2014 a year to remember!!
